Adventure Awaits Rags to Riches Legacy Challenge: Fairy Edition (Sims 4)

Here are the goals and rules for my Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Rags to Riches Legacy Challenge: Fairy Edition, which uses the youngest heir (Zoe Ito-FitzMoon) from my Rags to Property Owners LP, who was born in the prelude to my Life & Death Rags to Riches Legacy challenge. She is still the fifth generation in this legacy.

Meet our Sims:

I am starting with five sims, our teen Zoe Ito-FitzMoon is the main sim and is who will be having an heir for the next generation.

Her cousin Annie Pruett-Meyers, who Zoe’s Aunt Poppy adopted and who is currently a child, is joining Zoe. Also joining Zoe are siblings from my Fairy Pauper’s LP, twins Rowan & Glenn Reaves, teens, and their infant sibling Cassie.

Zoe & Glenn are spellcasters. Rowan & Cassie are fairies & Annie will become a fairy when she ages up to a teen. Zoe has the ancient bloodline trait and Glenn has a weak bloodline trait.

Here is the playlist for my Fairy Pauper Let’s Play where Rowan & Glenn were raised from toddlers to teens & where their infant sister Cassie was born.

The back story as to why Glenn is a spellcaster and Rowan is a fairy is that their mother hid that she was a spellcaster from her husband, who is a fairy due to the negative relationship fairies and spellcasters have. It came out when the twins were born and Glenn was a spellcaster and at that point it appeared that she abandoned her family. It later turned out that she had gone to give up her magic and when that happened it caused her to lose her memory (this can’t happen in the game, but we’re using poetic license here!). A family friend knew who she was so she was reunited with her orphaned younger brother. Unfortunately she had kept her marriage and pregnancy from her family (due to the aforementioned negative relationship between fairies and spellcasters) so no one knew to look for her husband and children. It wasn’t until Cody, her husband and the twins’ father, accidentally found her again after joining a new career that her memory came back and the family was reunited.

Pack Goals:

Complete the new aspirations that come with both Adventure Awaits (Critter Hunter & childhood aspiration Cool Kid on the Block) & Enchanted by Nature (Elixir Enthusiast, Nature Nomad & Fairy Stories plus one of the two aspirations that unlock when you complete that aspiration) with at least one sim in our household.
Complete some childhood formative challenges.
Have at least one child in the household have an imaginary friend that we turn into a real sim when the child becomes a teen.
Max the new skills from both packs (Adventure Awaits: Papercraft, Diving & Entomology and for Enchanted by Nature: Apothecary & Natural Living).
Between the sims in the household have them max the careers from both packs.
Complete as many Adventure Awaits Quests & Enchanted by Nature Fables as we can.
Try to catch all the butterflies (Adventure Awaits).
Possibly look at the competitive trait with one of our sims.
Optional: possibly look at getaways if I can fit it in with everything else.

Other Goals:

Complete the fortune aspiration with all sims.
All children/teen who age up to young adult must have at least four positive character values, hopefully all five.
Any toddlers must max all toddler skills, children need to complete all childhood aspirations (base game & Growing Together) & teens need to complete the Goal Oriented & Admired Icon teen aspirations.
Young adults will have to complete their Soul’s Journey.
Work on completing the Making Money Scenario.

Rules

Start with no money on an lot with no home (we are starting on the 64×64 lot in Innisgreen that has a large pond and landscaping). We will move to Gibbi’s Point when our family has enough funds to do so.
Starting sims need to complete their soul’s journey before they can leave the household.
Any sims joining the household can’t bring any money or any significant assets (sell furniture before moving them in if they live on their own).
Money can be made from anything that game allows including any new money making opportunities that come with either pack. when using Trendi, the mark up is limited to 10x (which is still quite high) and will mainly be used for the Admired Icon aspiration (the goal to list and if needed to get Social Bunny follower count up).

Rags to Small Business? (Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies)

Meet our sims, Audrey (Creative, Animal Enthusiast who Loves the Outdoors with a Collector bonus trait) & Rhett Sheridan (Genius, Rancher & Idealist with a Quick Learner bonus trait), a young married couple and their independent, toddler daughter Sofia. Will they be able to start a small business they can pass down to a child, either their daughter or any others that may come along?

Goals:

Complete both new aspirations* with at least one sim.
Complete the fortune aspiration.
Pass down the business to one of their children.
Live in both neighbourhoods.

* the pack has two new aspirations, Master Mentor (Knowledge Aspiration) and Esteemed Entrepreneur (Popularity Aspiration).

Optional Goals:

Complete the new collection.
Unlock as many hobby perks as possible and pass them down when our starting couple becomes elders.
Complete the Making Money scenario.
Have any children born age up with at least four positive character values & have them complete all 8 child aspirations (4 base game/4 Growing Together)

Crystal Creation Stuff Pack Rags to Riches 24 Mashup (Sims 4)

This challenge is going to be a mashup of a Crystal Creations rags to riches, the Sims ’24 while 24′ challenge with most lot challenges.

Rules:

Start with nothing on an empty lot. I’ll be starting on Pebble Burrow in Oasis Springs.
Optional: No selling into personal inventory or equivalent* until you have purchased a yard sale table or street gallery.
You can make money from anything in your goal to complete the Making Money scenario.
Lifespan is up to you. I’m using a long lifespan & aging up as certain goals are met.

Rags to Property Owners! (Sims 4 For Rent)

Meet Our Sims

Teen Phillip Ito-FitzMoon (Cringe, Nosy, with Business Savvy bonus trait from a fortune aspiration) and his younger sister, child Rosalind (Creative) will be joined by teen Hollie Pruett-Meyers (Creative, Geek with Collector bonus trait from a nature aspiration) who was a child in my For Rent Mini Let’s Play. Link to their household on the gallery.

Goals:

For Rent Goals:

Complete all four For Rent aspirations (Discerning Dweller, Fount of Tomarani Knowledge, Five-Star Property Owner & Seeker of Secrets) with at least one sim, though I hope to complete all but the Seeker of Secrets with all of them. Seeker of Secrets will be a goal of Phillip, our nosy sim.
Complete both collections (marbles & tassels) that come with the For Rent pack.
Get as many secrets as possible (there are about 30).
Hold a potluck and pool party at least once (the two new social events that come with the For Rent pack).

Teen Goals:

Teens must complete the Admired Icon and Goal Oriented teen aspirations.
Teens must have at least three positive character values before they age up to young adult, but preferably all five character values will be positive.

Other Goals:

Complete the fortune aspiration.
Complete the Making Money scenario.
Our Ito-FitzMoon sims must have two children to carry on the Rags to Riches legacy in the next generation (the siblings can each have one each, or one of them can have two). They can have more children, but only two are needed for the next generation pack LP (whatever pack that will be!).

I will work on other aspirations that seem to suit their goals of making money, etc., but those are the defined up front goals.

Rules:

Start with nothing on the 20×20 empty lot in Tomarang (ISDA Riverfront, Koh Sahpa). While on this lot sims can only use things that are portable, the only exception is they can have a small garden, though with no trees.
No selling into personal inventory or marking up prices until our sims have paid off the yard sale table they start with.
Travel is restricted to Tomarang, San Myshuno, Magic HQ & to the high school neighbourhood. They can also visit the vet clinic in Brindleton Bay if they have a sick pet. Otherwise they must book a vacation rental in the location (see Note I below) until they complete the Fortune Aspiration.
Once the sims have saved enough money they will move into a rental.
Once at least one sim has completed the Discerning Dweller aspiration, they can move into their own owned residential rental lot.
Once they have completed the Five-Star Property Owner aspiration they can move off their owned residential rental lot if they wish.
They can make money from anything as I find being a landlord isn’t lucrative & needs other sources to support it.
Lifespan is up to you. I’m using a long lifespan & aging up as certain goals are met.

No Skills, No Problem Scenario, Cottage Living Edition (Sims 4)

Meet Lila Mayberry, who is a creative freegan who is also an animal enthusiast and is about to embark on the No Skills, No Problem Scenario. The twist, we’re going to try and get a golden chicken to help her get a perfect garden since she won’t be able to gain any skills and evolve her garden herself. As per the scenario goals, she is starting with no simoleons and on a now empty lot (3 Olde Mill Lane in Henford on Bagley). As an aside, she is playing in the same save and neighourhood that Cameron McGregor is in, i.e. the sim used in my playthrough of the Extraterrestrial Researcher Scenario.

The scenario goals are quite simple, have 400,000 simoleons while not being able to gain any skills.

In addition to this goal, I plan to complete the following aspirations:

Fortune Aspiration
Both Spellcaster Aspirations (Spellcraft & Sorcery and Purveyor of Potions)
Curator Aspiration

She will also work on other aspirations as best she can when not being able to gain any skills.

As for the rags to riches element, the main rule I will be following is that Lila won’t be able to sell into her personal inventory until she has earned enough for a yard sale table. So she will have to first earn money by taking on errands, selling fish/produce to the Finchwick grocery or gardening stands or taking on odd jobs.

Extraterrestrial Researcher with a Rags Start! (Sims 4 Scenario)

Meet Cameron McGregor, who is a genius, geek and animal enthusiast and is about to embark on the Extraterrestrial Researcher Scenario. The twist? He’s starting with nothing on an empty lot (2 Olde Mill Lane in Henford on Bagley).

The scenario goals themselves are pretty simple, bring back 5 unique living alien critters from voyages into space.

In addition to this goal, I plan to have Cameron complete the nerd brain aspiration.

As for the rags start, the main rule I will be following is that Cameron won’t be able to sell into his personal inventory until he has earned enough for a yard sale table. So he will have to first earn money by taking on errands, selling fish/produce to the Finchwick grocery or gardening stands or taking on odd jobs. There are other ways to earn money that can be used if you want to play along with a rags start (getting a job or programming or writing using a public computer are other ways that come to mind).

Explore the Night Scenario – Rags to Riches Edition (Sims 4)

I’m attempting this scenario with three spellcaster sims (an engaged couple Felicia Flores & Jax Story and Jax’s father Ellis Story). The twist is they will be starting with nothing. Will that slow them down in completing this scenario? Playlist link

Meet our Sims:

Scenario Goals:

Unlike many scenarios, which rewards satisfaction points, the reward for this scenario is supposed to be the Seldom Sleepy Trait.

Rags to Riches Element:

Our sims will be starting with nothing. Their lot is off the grid and they will have to pay 6,055 to connect to the grid (starting value of their lot, 2 Olde Mill Lane, which comes with some landscaping, but no home or amenities).

Similar to many of my other rags to riches LPs, as an added challenge, I will not let my sims sell directly from their inventory/directly off the plants until they buy a yard sale table (street gallery for paintings). Some ways to make money to get the yard sale table are to do odd jobs (requires Island Living) or to sell items, including harvestables and fish, at the grocery and plant ‘shops’ (requires Cottage Living) or flowers to the plant shop (requires My Wedding Stories).

There’s no goal for what they need to finish the challenge, however one of the goals is to make and drink coffee. I will require that they do that on their own lot, so they will need to either connect to the grid or have a power source to do so, as well as the counter and coffee pot at a minimum.

No Skills, No Problem Scenario (Sims 4 Rags to Riches)

I’m going to attempt the No Skills, No Problem Scenario with my young adult sim Sebastian Meyers. He’s also going to do the parts of the Frog Scenario that don’t require skills & complete the curator aspiration (at a minimum).

How long will it take him to complete the scenario? Playlist link (first part goes live tomorrow, Sunday May 8, 2022).

Meet My Sim:

Sebastian is a creative freegan who is also an animal enthusiast with the bonus collector trait from choosing the curator aspiration. While he can’t learn any skills, as a spellcaster he can still learn magic. If you’d like to play along, Sebastian is on the gallery under my Origin ID MapleSimmer.

No Skills, No Problem Goals & My Tweaks:

Your sim starts with no money and had to have 400,000 simoleons before the scenario ends. While the scenario is active your sim will be unable to learn any skills. He’ll be starting on an empty, albeit beautiful, lot in Sulani (Key Point). I’ll be playing in the same save that my Plant-Sim Fern Pruitt is in, she’s just recently had her home moved to another lot in Sulani.

As an added challenge, I will not let my sim sell directly from their inventory/directly off the plants until my sim buys a yard sale table. Some ways to make money to get the yard sale table are to do odd jobs (requires Island Living) or to sell items, including harvestables and fish, at the grocery and plant ‘shops’ (requires Cottage Living) or flowers to the plant shop (requires My Wedding Stories).
