Note that I skipped from House 10 (which did include House 11 goals) to House 24 (link here), though I did also include the goals for House 13 when I did House 24.
Goals/optional goals for House 24 are to complete the family aspirations, however the two base game family aspirations (Big Happy Family Aspiration and Successful Lineage Aspiration) require a child to get married, max a career & for the sim parent to be friends to 4 grandchildren. We will also be doing the Super Parent Aspiration that comes with Parenthood. Getting the children of House 24 to complete everything needed for their mother (and father) to complete these aspirations is going to take some time and the House 24 household is very wealthy and also quite laggy.
I’m hoping that starting over with the two oldest (Lily and Luna Driver), who are currently teens, with Luna just having aged up to a teen, with nothing on a new empty lot with both help with the lagging and also be more interesting than playing a wealthy household.
As mentioned, in true Drifter tradition, they will start over with nothing except a few miscellaneous items in their inventory (mostly for fun, nothing of much value).
They will take on the some goals from House 15, 16 & 18 plus an element of goals for House 17 that need to be completed when doing House 16. See below for more details.
Note their younger sibling Lee Driver, who is currently an infant, will eventually join them once they are established, though I plan to move him out sometime after he becomes a young adult.
The main focus of this challenge will be on Lily and Luna.
Starting Lot:
They will be living on the Garden Essence Lot (40×30 lot) in the Foundry Cove neighbourhood (the lot the BFFs usually live on) to start with, though they will probably move later on, most likely to Sulani to help with Goal 5.
Note that the Garden Essence Lot is used for House 15.
Rules:
Start with no money on an empty lot.
Note that most Houses of the Drifter Challenge limit who you can control, I will be controlling anyone in the household for this challenge, as allowed in House 24.
Any sims joining the household can’t bring any money or any significant assets (sell furniture before moving them in if they live on their own).
Use general rags to riches rules per video, which also links to my blog post.
Goals (Five in Total):
Goal 1: We will work on the goals required for their parents (mostly their mother Katie) to complete her/their family aspirations,
at least one sibling getting married (required for Big Happy Family Aspiration)
having four children (for the four grandkids) between the siblings (required for Big Happy Family Aspiration),
maxing a career (required for Successful Lineage Aspiration)
having a minimum of three positive character values (required for the Super Parent Aspiration)
Goal 2: I have given Luna the kleptomaniac trait when she aged up to a teen, as we will doing goals 2 and 3 from House 15 (link):
Luna will also do the Sticky Fingers aspiration. Once she completes these three goals, she will use a retraiting potion to change her kleptomaniac trait to a new trait, probably the Child of the Island trait to help with goal 5. Also note that I will be making museums off limits until goal 3 for house 15 is met (swipe 15 objects), though I will probably buy copies of the stolen objects and return any stolen items when Luna changes her kleptomaniac trait since she will ‘regret’ her youthful actions.
Goal 3: We will work on goals 1 through 3 from House 16 (link):
We will also craft at least one of each item you can craft on the woodworking table. The following list is what you need to craft to unlock for House 17 (link here), instead we need to craft them to unlock to use during our young adult years. Note we need to go to Granite Falls to unlock the Camping Mascot Sculpture.
As an added related goal, they will need to furnish their house from items crafted (including using LittleMsSam’s ‘More Woodworks’ mod), found dumpster diving or received as gifts during their teen years. Exception, they can buy the cheapest computer, radio & TV and they can buy skill objects that can’t be found/crafted (this includes, but isn’t limited to Home Chef Hustle small appliances, selling tables of any form, flower arranging tables, chicken coops, etc).
Goal 4: Lily will work on goals 2 through 5 from House 18 (link):
Goal 5: The fourth grandchild will be used in a Super Sim challenge, and Lily, as the oldest child and essentially the official heir of House 24, will have this child. My requirements for this child are that they must: * be female * have the Sulani Mana trait (source).
After living a sheltered life where we couldn’t even control her directly, our new drifter Katie Driver is moving to the Aquisition Butte neigbourhood in Oasis Spring. She will be living on the Affluista Mansion lot, a 50×50 lot. This is the neighbourhood and lot where the Landgraab’s usually live in a new save!
Will she be up to the following challenges?
Create her dream home
Complete the successful lineage aspiration
Produce and raise the Heir
Note that I will be adding goals from House 13 to this house, so here are the additional goals that will be required, note House 13 also requires you to raise an Heir:
In addition to the house requirements noted above, it will also need to at a minimum have 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom & be worth at least $100k Simoleons with a designated gaming area.
Achieve level 10 of the EASports Gamer branch of the Tech Guru Career.
Achieve level 10 of the Start Up Entrepreneur branch of the Tech Guru Career.
Score 1st place in a Pro-Ranked Tournament on both the Hillock II and Sims Forever games.
House 24 and House 13 have optional goals, here are the ones I plan on doing:
Complete both the Big Happy Family and Super Parent aspirations with both my Drifter and her spouse (House 24 goals)
Complete the Computer Whiz Aspiration (House 13 goal)
I also plan on adding the following goals to my playthrough:
Have all sims in the house max Scouts and complete the Goal Oriented and Admired Icon Teen aspirations.
At a minimum, have all sims that age up to young adult in the house have four positive character values, preferably five where possible.
Use the Simple Living lot challenge until one sim unlocks the Simple Living cookbook. At that point, the simple living lot challenge will be optional.
Have both my drifter and her future spouse get a university degree and complete the university aspiration. I will be turning aging off while they attend university.
Have both complete the fortune aspiration.
Have all toddlers max their skills.
Have all children complete all four child hood aspirations.
I will also aspiration swap and work on more aspirations then noted here as that’s just how I like to play.
In this house we can control everyone (this is also true of house 13).
Note one rule I plan on breaking is the rule of not moving sims out of the house. I plan on adding Katie’s younger siblings and raising them to young adult and then moving them out. I may do the same with any siblings of Katie’s futer spouse.
With house 24, there are no restrictions of where/when you can travel (so having a minimum of 1,000 simoleons for this house is not required) and all community lots are available.
We are still not allowed to have club gatherings on the home lot.
You can play on normal or a long lifespan and you can also use age altering/life prolonging items in house 24.
As an FYI, here are all the optional goals for House 24, screenshot is per Vihisha’s blog post as of Jan 25, 2023:
As well as the optional goals for House 13, screenshot is per Vihisha’s blog post as of Jan 25, 2023:
Screenshot of rules, etc per Vihisha’s blog post as of Jan 25, 2023 as an FYI:
Potential love interests & their family members were provided by:
Elliot & his brother Sawyer Finch (Simgirlsam3)
Gabe & his sister Gretchen Lewis (Simgirlsam3)
Emmett Woods (VampireMum)
Kenneth McCann & family (born in game & provided by me)
I’m hoping to be back soon with Katie, who is creative and a geek, and the last house of Drifter (House 24 with the goals of House 13). For those who watched House 10, you’ll know that I’m tweaking the rules of this last house and Katie is starting as a teen. Since she just aged up she has minimal skills, so her start will be harder than her mother and grandmother’s start!
As such, I’m looking for a male teen spellcaster who is a redhead with a family member (teen or older) to join my save, preferably with a weak or stronger bloodline trait, though I can just add that if necessary. He will be a potential spouse for my Drifter Katie Driver. Please no CC, however any pack/kit, except the Menswear Kit, can be used.
I plan to place any sims provided in the world and have her meet them. Since she’s just a teen there’s a chance she’ll get a crush on one, and if she does, that will be the sim I move in as her future spouse. If she gets more than one crush I’ll try to take them each on an outing or date and see how it goes! Note that one of the goals of this sim will be to max the tech guru career. Katie will do the same, they will just take different branches.
Please put them on the gallery using #MSDrifterH24 by this Sunday, January 15, 2023. Thanks!
The first part of House 10 of Drifter will be up this Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 3 pm Eastern.
My Drifter Jackie Driver will need a love interest/potential spouse so if you’d like to create a potential spellcaster love interest please put them on the gallery using #H10BachforJackie . Jackie is active, creative and a foodie.
I would like the love interest to be a male, young adult redhead (I’m curious if the red head gene will resurface!). I’m looking for newly created, unplayed sims that use the hashtag mentioned above. You can use all packs but the modern menswear kit and no custom content.
Bonus if they have a family member with them (i.e. one parent/teen or older sibling).
Also, please don’t use any of the following traits for either the potential love interest or family member:
After living a sheltered life where we couldn’t even control her directly, our new drifter Jackie Driver is returning to the first neighbourhood of the Drifter challenge started in (Bedrock Strait in Oasis Spring). She will be living in Pebble Burrow, a 30×20 lot. This is the neighbourhood where Johnny Zest usually lives in a new save!
Will she be up to the following challenges?
As a minimum create a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom home worth at least $50k Simoleons – include a pool and a designated personal workout area.
Achieve level 10 of the Fitness Skill
Produce and raise the Heir (see my notes on this*)
There are some optional goals for house 10, the ones I plan to complete are:
complete the Bodybuilder aspiration
max the Wellness skill
If it fits in with the house, I may try maxing one of the SE skills (rock climbing, skiing or snowboarding).
Note that I will be adding goals from House 11 to this house, so here are the additional goals that will be required, note House 11 also requires you to raise an Heir:
In addition to the house requirements noted above, it will also need to include a designated party space.
Complete the Master Mixologist Aspiration.
Achieve level 10 of the Mixologist branch of the Culinary career.
Optional goals for house 11 I’ll be attempting are as follows:
*Re the heir, usually the goal is to raise the heir to the young adult life stage, however, with the changes to life stage lengths that came with the July 26, 2022 game update, I plan to end this house when either A) all the goals are complete or B) the heir ages up to a teen, whichever happens second.
The ability to leave your home lot is limited, usually you need 1,000 simoleons and where you can travel to is set by house. Here is a screenshot of the details, again screenshot is from Vihisha’s blog post as of Oct 26, 2022 (Note the club gatherings should say ‘Get Together needed’, not ‘City Living’. ):
As part of house 10, we are able to place a spa or an Onsen on the Pique Hearth lot (where the Pancakes usually live). I will be placing a Spa there.
Some exceptions or amendments that I do re places that can be visited is that I include Bars and Lounges as ‘Nightclubs’ as they act similar to Nightclubs. In prior houses I have hosted club gatherings at museums & gyms, however gyms are now unlocked & I will continue to visit museums for the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration & for dates (I find museums are a great place for dates as other sims don’t interrupt as much).
After living a sheltered life, our new drifter Isobel Driver, along with our secondary sim Izaiah Kuro (see poll), returns to her grandmother’s world & neighbourhood (Parched Prospect in Oasis Springs) to start her first day with nothing on the Vista Quarry lot, which is the neighbourhood the Roomies usually live in.
Will they be up to the following challenges?:
Disguise your home (example: underground lair that looks like a park above ground)
Achieve level 10 of the Diamond Agent branch of the Secret Agent Career on The Drifter
Achieve level 11 of the Villain branch of the Secret Agent Career on The Secondary Sim *Upon reaching Field Agent (level 4) of the Secret Agent Career, access to the following Lot type has been unlocked: Gym Lots Those playing the full 24 House Challenge may now place a Gym Lot on Burners and Builders in Oasis Springs world
Produce and raise The Heir to the Young Adult life stage -Select at least one of the following Traits on The Heir: Active Vegetarian Trait (City Living no longer needed, this is now a base game trait) Adventurous (Snowy Escape needed) *When The Heir reaches the Young Adult stage, you must stop game play and save if you are continuing on to House 010
Additional Optional Goals that I will attempt with the Drifter & or secondary sim:
Visit Batuu (based on optional goal from Vihisha’s blog post of completing one or more of the JTB aspirations)
Complete the Nerd Brain aspiration (will use the Simvasion mod to fix the rocket fix issue if it doesn’t get fixed),
Have both the drifter and the secondary sim complete the athletic aspiration, and
Have our Drifter try to complete the Cottage Living aspiration (winning the fair is somewhat problematic, so at a minimum complete all other goals of that aspiration).
In this house we can control the Drifter & the secondary sim. 😊
The ability to leave your home lot is limited, usually you need 1,000 simoleons and where you can travel to is set by house. Here is a screenshot of the details, again screenshot is from Vihisha’s blog post as of Feb 19, 2022 (Note the club gatherings should say ‘Get Together needed’, not ‘City Living’. 😊 ):
Some exceptions or amendments that I do re places that can be visited is that I include Bars and Lounges as ‘Nightclubs’ as they act similar to Nightclubs. I also host club gatherings at museums (for prior houses, I would hold club gatherings at gyms, for this house we will wait until that unlocks).
Thanks to everyone who uploaded their sims for us to vote on for the secondary sim of House 9 of the Drifter Challenge! 😊
As a reminder, this secondary sim for House 9 of Drifter will will eventually marry my heir from house 8 of Drifter. Here is a screenshot with details of the House 8 heir.
Whichever sim is chosen, I will change one trait to match Isobel’s. 😊
Here are the sims uploaded to be included in the poll for the secondary sim. I will add the Origin IDs after the poll closes in case you want to add them to your own game.

After living a sheltered life, our new drifter Hannah Driver, returns to her grandmother’s world of Willow Creek to start her first day with nothing in an empty neighborhood (lot is Parkshore, the neighbourhood the Goth’s usually live in).
Will she be up to the following challenges?:
As a minimum create a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom house worth at least 50k simoleons,
Achieve level 10 of the Author Branch of the Writer Career, * She must adopt a baby upon her 1st, 2nd & 3rd promotions.
All three adopted sims, as well as the Heir, must each complete one Child Aspiration, and
Produce & raise the Heir to the Young Adult life stage.
Additional Optional Goals that I will attempt with the Drifter:
Max the cooking & parenting skill, possibly knitting skill (optional goals from Vihisha’s blog post)
Complete the writing aspiration, and
Complete the Super Parent Aspiration.
Additional Optional Goals that I will attempt with each of the adopted children & the Heir:
Become top notch toddlers (ie max the 4 needed toddler skills),
Complete all four child aspirations,
Get all Scout badges & earn the scouting aptitude reward trait,
As teens all must be A High School students,
Try to max either drama club or one part time career as teens, and
They must have at least 4 positive character values when they age up to young adult.
In this house we can control the Drifter, the 3 adopted children & the Heir. 😊
The ability to leave your home lot is limited, usually you need 1,000 simoleons and where you can travel to is set by house. House 7 of the Drifter Challenge is scheduled to return on February 4. Playlist link
There are two parts to house 7, in the first part we have a bachelorette challenge to see who our drifter will marry& in the second part our Drifter and the winner of part 1 will start their life together. In both parts we can only control the Drifter (with some exceptions noted in the rules on Vihisha’s blog post and summarized below).

Meet our Bachelors:
Which bachelor will win her heart? (EA ID of those who created them is included with their pictures):
Some bachelors were already spellcasters, but for those who weren’t, I had one of my sims who knew the spell to convert sims to spellcasters do so, so they are all now spellcasters. Here are our bachelors as originally uploaded to the gallery, which in some cases includes families, if you’re interested in adding them to your own game.
Zechariah Wood & Family (Tiger_Lover_78)
Rodney Donald & Family (katbos20963)
J.L. Wyatt (SoulGal7)
Ricky Campbell & Family (Simslover163)
Giovanni Graham (BipolarPrincess)

The bachelorette challenge has detailed rules on Vihisha’s blog post (link here), and will take place in Gabrielle’s family home in Willow Creek (the Oakenstead lot) and it will comprise of a mix of elimination challenges (painting on Day 3 and fishing on Day 5, dates, parties and the relationship of the contestants with our heir Gabrielle will also have an impact. During this first part aging will be off.
While not required, I am using the Sims Info mod to get the exact relationship numbers when determining who has the highest/lowest relationship. Here’s a link to the mod if you’re interested in using it. https://modthesims.info/d/576053/show-search-sim-info-mod.html
Part 2 of House 7:
Part 2 of the challenge is similar to other houses where we start with nothing on an empty lot (this time on Springscape Residential in Oasis Springs). The goals for this part of the challenge are as follows:
As a minimum create a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house worth at least 40k simoleons,
Complete the Soulmate Aspiration with our Drifter,
Produce & raise The Heir to the Young Adult life stage.
Please let me know if you’d like to play along, the bachelors, in some cases with their families, can be found on the gallery (see EA IDs mentioned above) and I can add my Drifter, with or without her family if you’d like.

Spend Power Points (Vampires needed) – Vampire exclusive
The Drifter Challenge is a challenge created by the lovely Vihisha Tak’Nai and if you plan to do all, or most of the challenge, you start with both Willow Creek and Oasis Springs empty, ie you delete all the lots from those two worlds (one exception, if you have Dine Out you can add one restaurant to the museum lot in Oasis Springs).
The challenge can be thought of as a generation challenge as well as a building challenge, with each generation, or ‘house’, starting with no money on an empty lot and each ‘house’ having its own set of goals. As you meet certain goals over the generations, or ‘houses’ as they are called, you can also start adding certain community lots (which you can build, download from the gallery or add back the original lots if you’ve saved them in your library).
The only way I’ve ever managed to play for multiple generations is when playing the Drifter Challenge.😊 I find it to be a great way to examine a lot of different elements in the game, and you can skip any generation you do not want to do. Alternatively you can just do any house as a stand alone challenge; each house’s rules explain how to start each house, both if you are continuing or doing it as a stand alone challenge, along with the goals and rules for each house.
As an added challenge for most houses you can only control your main sim, ie the ‘Drifter’, apart from a few exceptions, one main one being aging up on a cake (and before we had the ability to assign beds, claiming beds was allowed). However, there are some houses where that varies and you can control more than one sim. In all cases each house always indicates who can be controlled.
Alternatively, you can come join my new Facebook group and share how you do in this challenge, or in anything sims related, be it sim creation, sim builds or your sims stories &/or challenges! It’s also a great place to ask any sim related questions, including questions about Drifter or other challenges, that either I or other members can try to answer. Sims Sanctuary
I have been doing this challenge on my YouTube channel and I am currently on House 6; as I start individual houses I will add links to each playlist and a summary of the goals for each house here. 😊

Achieve level 10 of the Fitness Skill
Produce and raise the Heir (see my notes on this*)
Note that I will be adding goals from House 11 to this house, so here are the additional goals that will be required, note House 11 also requires you to raise an Heir:
In addition to the house requirements noted above, it will also need to include a designated party space.
Complete the Master Mixologist Aspiration.
Achieve level 10 of the Mixologist branch of the Culinary career.
*Re the heir, usually the goal is to raise the heir to the young adult life stage, however, with the changes to life stage lengths that came with the July 26, 2022 game update, I plan to end this house when either A) all the goals are complete or B) the heir ages up to a teen, whichever happens second.
I will be doing a blog post with more details on this house, including optional goals I’m adding for me to do & exceptions noted re non controllable sims, I’ll add the link when it’s available.
While there are 24 houses in total, this is going to be the second last house of this challenge for me. I will be finishing with House 24, which will also include goals from House 13 & as mentioned above, we will hopefully be starting it during the heir’s teen life stage.
Complete the Successful Lineage aspiration (optional, which we will be doing, we will also complete the Big Happy Family aspiration and the Super Parent aspiration from Parenthood).
Please see my blog post with more details on this house, including additional optional goals I’m adding for me to do.
Link to house 24 rules on Vihisha’s blog post and link to house 13 rules on Vihisha’s blog post.
Note that House 24 is the final house of the Drifter Challenge, however, I ended up doing a Mash Up of some of my missed houses with our Drifter Katie’s two oldest children while we wait for them to complete the required goals for Katie and her husband Gabe, to complete their three family aspirations.
Starting Lot: Garden Essence Lot, Foundry Cove, Willow Creek (40×30) (House 15 Lot) Controllable Sims: All Sims
As mentioned at the end of my House 24 section, I skipped from House 10 (which did include House 11 goals) to House 24, though I did also include the goals for House 13 when I did House 24.
Also as noted above, goals/optional goals for House 24 are to complete the family aspirations, however the two base game family aspirations (Big Happy Family Aspiration and Successful Lineage Aspiration) require a child to get married, max a career & for the sim parent to be friends to 4 grandchildren.
They will take on the some goals from House 15, 16 & 18 plus an element of goals for House 17 that need to be completed in House 16.
Note their younger sibling Lee Driver, who is currently an infant, will eventually join them once they are established, though I plan to move him out sometime after he becomes a young adult.
The main focus of this challenge will be on Lily and Luna.
While I often provide an overview of goals here, since this is covering three (and a partial) houses, it’s quite long so please see my blog post with more details on this mashup challenge.
